RTC of Gertduino

Mon Oct 20, 2014 8:49 am

Hi Guys,
I am struggling with the gertduino to set my clock.
I have a brand new gertduino and raspberry b+

The output of my i2cdetect -y 1 contains only empty entries except the entries:

10b: UU and 30b: UU

When I try to use:

Code: Select all

sudo bin/bash -c " echo ds1374 0x68 > /sys/class/i2c-adapter/i2c-1/new_device"
the response is:

Code: Select all

/bin/bash: line 0: echo: write error: invalid argument
The ./avrsetup works fine and I also can use the arduino ide to upload for example the blink.hex file.
I have set the jumpers like the manual p. 7 and I also have put a battery in the gertduino.
I would be really happy if someone could help me with my problem!
Many thanks!
Max

I would expect port 0x68 to show up using i2cdetect...
Does http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewt ... 0&p=491487 help?

Thanks for the link but haven't worked in the first place.
Just setup a new debian and reinstalled everything and now it works, don't know why...
