First 10" LCD with capacitive touch based on Raspberry Pi!

Everyone, we have been working hard for many months to develope the LCD solution for Raspberry Pi. We know that RPi has a nice HDMI port that can be plugged into a TV which is brilliant. However, we also get many request to develope a solution to connect to cheap notebook LCD. And we have walk down this path to fulfill the requirements. Our solution comes with a plug-n-play 10" LVDS LCD with capacitive touch built-in. Our board also acts as a power supply to power up RPi from the USB port on our board. This smart feature will save you an adapter while running our solution.

Dear Raspberry Fans, we found that there are some comments about the CPU running 100% when we did our demo in youtube. This is due to the application that is running background before hand. Anyway, we have uploaded a blog and 2 new videos to clear up the confusion here.

Is it possible to make /get an adapter just converting to lvds without the need of a extra power supply, maybe without backlighting support?

Is it possible to make /get an adapter just converting to lvds without the need of a extra power supply, maybe without backlighting support?

HDMI specification does not define max. current for 5V line, just states that it should be at least 55 mA. RasPi powers this line from system 5V power rail through BAT54 diode that has 200 mA forward current limitation. 200mA is enough for HDMI-LVDS converter itself, but most LCDs with size >7" will additionally require >200mA just for logic part excluding backlight.

Therefore, we added USB port to our adapter to power RasPi from converter, so that whole system will work from single power supply. You can also make a trick by powering RasPi from our adapter through HDMI by changing this BAT54 to shortcut, and by installing R9 on our adapter.
