THESE ARE ALL GONE NOW.

Hello,

These are Model B, they are brand new and here in the UK, some are in the pink plastic boxes from RS, others in Element14 cardboard boxes.

( They are NOT Raspberry Pi 2 Model B or Raspberry Pi 1 Model B+ )

These are just the boards, so do not include any of these items : SD cards / power supply / cables.

If you are interested, send me a PM through the forum and let me know how many you need.

You might want to specify what exactly it is you are selling. rev1 with polyfuses? rev1 with zero ohm links? rev2 256MB? rev2 512MB? rev2.1?

I believe that they are all Revision 2 512MB (they arrived Apr 2013).

Of the Element 14 ones that I've opened the cardboard boxes for (the first time), these all have mounting holes and the additional 2x4 header alongside the 26pin GPIO port and say made in the UK- so I believe that these are all rev 2 512 MB.

Of the RS ones, on the yellow stickers on the pink boxes it says "Raspberry Pi B" and "Made in China".
Is it possible to identify them from any of the other numbers e.g. 756-8308 on the yellow stickers without breaking the seal ?

Of the RS ones, I've opened one, it has mounting holes, confirms "made in china", has a Black audio port, no black 'Christmas tree' on the USB port, does have "HanRun HR090110A 1247" on the Ethernet port and looks like what this site calls a Raspberry Pi 512MB Model, board revision 3.

Hope that helps & if the moderators or anyone in the know can confirm anything more, I'll update the original post.

If you booted one you could look at /proc/cpuinfo or /proc/cmdline and it gives an absolutely positive indication of which model of Raspberry Pi you've got.

Thanks, Yes once booted up it's easy - but then I wouldn't be able to sell them as "NEW" !
( I also don't want to do this 'n' times .... )

The P5 header is the best clue. My original B (October 2012) doesn't have that. My later (2013) Bs all do have it.

Yes, that header was what I meant by : "additional 2x4 header alongside the 26pin GPIO port".

All I'm really after is whether it is possible to identify the pink boxed RS ones WITHOUT opening all of the boxes or powering them all up (by any of the markings on the pink case :either the 756-8308, CB19 or N13019).

I think they changed the code when they moved to 512MB so I think the fact they have a current model B product code on them means they are 512MB models.

I didn't think there'd ever been a 256MB model with the P5 header.

Time to refer to Alex Eames' family photo.

They wouldn't fit the "unused" description, also I would imagine that they would still be needed to serve their designed purpose.

Does not instill buying confidence when perfectly reasonable questions about the sale are asked but the replies back are very cagey and will only communicate via PM if direct answers are required. This one has 'walk away' all over it.

I and the group I'm in would require several - NYLXS (New York Linux Scene - http://nylxs.org/ ) - to start a class on Linux and The Raspberry Pi with K-12 students. Do you still have any more? I'm posting here as for some reason PM Link does not work on Safari 4.1.8 on Mac OSX 10.4. I would need to discuss this with NYLXS as to the exact number needed but I know that its more than 10. We already got a few, but the need is greater. Plus I'm in NYC, NY, USA, across the "Great Pond."

You can only send a PM after you have posted once. So it should work now.

As far as the comment :

You're entitled to your opinion.

I have some left but what I'd sell one for is different to what I'd sell 100 for - unreasonable ?
( Also depending on whether suppliers state that they have 1,100 in stock or none until 22 September 2015 !

Thanks to the other forum members for your help / suggestions / Links.

Just found that my old 256Mb Pi's do not have enough memory for the latest MotionPie build, so need to think about replacing them. If you have a couple of 512Mb B's, would you take 30 quid for them?

Cheers,

Jon.
