RP2 login problem

Tue Feb 10, 2015 4:22 am

I already installed NOOBS. When I shutdown and restart. I didn't setup user name and password. However, it requires user name and password. As attached image. What should I do? Thank you!

wellcome and congratulation...
you really should read the sticky threads here and/or search for similar problems, befor you ask something like this... it was asked and answered million times already.

(for example, let's start with the very first tsticky thread:
[Sticky] Pitfalls for beginners
... that's, what and why they are there for :o )

Hi there

I have the same problem with the B+ model.

I have just upgraded to the latest version of NOOBS. On the first time boot I managed to access the GUI, however I did not quit the GUI in the proper manner as explained in one of the "sticky notes", I just pulled out the power cable. Now on reboot I get the same screen as the preceeding post. What must be entered for the login and the subsequent password? Do I have to setup my SD card again?

Some help would be greatly appreciated

Darryl

Hi

Thanks for your reply

I have tried that. It does not seem to work in this case.

Cheers

Does your keyboard work correctly and allow you to enter

Code: Select all

pi
at the username prompt? Caps lock isn't on?
When entering the password it is also lowercase and you won't see any indication that the letters are being entered while you are putting them in:

Code: Select all
