"Error Not Authorized" When Trying To Connect USB Device?

I just got a Raspberry Pi, and installed Raspian OS. Whenever I try to plug my USB Device into my RPi, it simply gives me an error "Not Authorized". I am logged into the RPi as an "admin" account...

I'm new to all of this also! :D

Last problem, which I think is a stupid question, why is it that whenever I try to type a # on my keyboard, it gives me the euro sign instead???

Thanks everyone for the help! :D

Because you didn't set all your location information (Internationalisation Options) on the initial setup screen.
You can get back to that screen by typing "sudo raspi-config" in a terminal window.

Use the cursor keys and Tab to move around the menu, Enter will select an option, Spacebar will toggle some options like your Locales (language support).

Most people complain that the get the UK £ (pound) symbol instead of the # (hash) character, and the the " and @ are the wrong war round. This is because they are using foreign (US) keyboards and the Pi is set for the proper UK layout :-)
