setting up omxplayer --win

Wed Nov 05, 2014 11:38 pm

Hi there.
I have a Sony wide screen lcd tv. Now starting for the first time gives me a 1024x768 screen as in vga.
In the config.txt file I got this right.
When I play a movie with omxplayer then it can happen that I have still bars around the movie.

I discovered it can be solved with "omxplayer --win 'x1 x2 y1 y2' "

My question: How do I find the correct numbers for x1, x2, y1 and y2?

Try
disable_overscan=1
in config.txt. I had a similar problem could solve it this way.
No need for using the --win option then.
Minimal Kiosk Browser (kweb)
Slim, fast webkit browser with support for audio+video+playlists+youtube+pdf+download
Optional fullscreen kiosk mode and command interface for embedded applications
Includes omxplayerGUI, an X front end for omxplayer
