It should work but at fifty bucks I'd want one that came with gold plated lettering.

The general rule with the Raspberry Pi and keyboards is "cheaper is better" and most standard wired keyboards will just work. Personally, I wouldn't spend more than $15 on a keyboard.

My keyboard is an old IBM USB one (rescued from a desktop), which includes a two-port USB hub. I use a HP wireless mouse dongle in one of those USB ports.

I would if there was one. My requirements are very specific because I'm installing it in a car and this keyboard's measurements are -just- right.

As above, should work, but you could certainly get cheaper! Just ask around, you would be surprised at home much stuff you can get if you ask the right people. Just this morning I just got a cable I needed for free off the IT guys at work...

you would be surprised how rare that is. most people have parts to old to be useful or already gave away anything useful to the pi.
