Is there a reason you cannot use a Virtual connections [VCN] eg with an application like tightvnc ?

Install xrdp on the RPi and use the built in remote desktop (RDP) in Windows.
sudo apt-get install xrdp
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.

IDLE and IDLE3 are already installed with start icons on the desktop (Raspbian OS).

The RDP client (aka Terminal Services client) should be available on XP home. If you cannot find it in the menu then try to use Start / run and enter 'mstsc' as the command (without the quotes).
If you're sure it's not on your WinXP machine you can download it from the MS site: http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download ... px?id=7208

Or download one of the many 3rd party RDP clients.

Adding the line to /etc/rc.local (*before* the line with 'exit 0' and without the quotes) should work AFAIK.
You'll need root rights to edit this file so you could use:

Code: Select all

sudo nano /etc/rc.local
Another way of doing it: http://www.raspberrypi.org/documentatio ... /README.md

mr Dirk i'm again dancing with drum - install Apache but without success.
1) sudo apt-get install apache2
2) do "sudo service apache2 restart" after that Raspi return string "apache2: unrecognized service"
3) i input into PC brouser IP addraess (192.168.1.7) of Raspi but brouser show "connection was failed"
how correctly install Apache ???

It's off-topic *and* you just asked the same question elsewhere on the forum...

I have never installed Apache on a Pi before, so I can't help you there.
Try googling for 'raspberry pi install apache' and you'll find loads of hits, including this one: http://www.raspberrypi.org/documentatio ... /apache.md
