question/emulator

Im a noobe to forums and to the pi ,it hasn't even arrived .
So I ordered 2 for me and a friend with the noobs sd ,will be using as a basic pc or for game emulation .
Question will games play on whezzy at all or do I have to run retro pi ect as the os and does the noobs sd come with any sourt of emulator

Check out the Mame4all emulator. Thats what I use. Not sure if works on NOOBS, I use it with raspbian.

Ok thanks I don't plan on using noobs very long anyway .So do you basically write this to the same sd card that rasbian is on ?

Ok never mind the installation question thanks. know a good place to get roms I don't mind paying if I have to

To make things clear: NOOBS is NOT an operating system. It's an installation environment for the distribution you prefer. Nothing more. You cannot run software like an emulator on NOOBS. Instead, you could install raspbian and then install the emulator(s) of your choice.

Ok thanks yeah I did understand about the noobs part I was getting confused because of the retro pi os but now I understand that it is its own os to make a dedicated gaming platform im assuming to save memory and it boots up right the the games thanks again

Just do a google search for like mame roms or something. Also
