Raspi and Tinkerforge

Thu May 29, 2014 10:44 am

Hello to all,

I'm a beginner with the raspi, python and tinkerforge.

I would like to start a script a the boot of the raspi

I add my script to the /etc/rc.local.

On boot, the script is starting but with error

EOFErro : EOF when reading a line
Exception in thread Disconnect-Prober (most likely raised durint interpreter shutdown):
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/threading.py", line 552 in __bootstrap_inner
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/threading.py", line 505, run
File "/home/pit/tinkerforge/ip_connection.py", line 8016 in disconnect_probe_loop
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/Quee.py, line 174, in get
<type 'exception.Type.Error'>: 'NoneType' object is not callable.

If I try to start the script manual after the boot, the script run.

If I try with a script "Hello World", it is OK

I need help please !

Can I politely suggest that you are more likely to get informed advice if you state which Operating System you are running on your RPi, and if you post a copy of the script that you are invoking from /etc/rc.local

Trying to understand what you have already posted, I notice this line -

Code: Select all

   File "/home/pit/tinkerforge/ip_connection.py", line 8016 in disconnect_probe_loop
Have you created a new user for your system, named pit? Or could that be a typing error that might be causing your problem?
