Desktop Screen Lock

Tue May 13, 2014 11:12 pm

I have the following programing starting automatically at system boot up: FileZilla, CuteCom and matchbox-keyboard. Is there any way to lock the position of the 3 programs into a defined location on the screen? I would like to avoid have to re-size the application window and re-position the application window each time the system starts-up.

Some programs remember window positions, most don't.

You might use a tiling window manager like awesome.
Minimal Kiosk Browser (kweb)
Slim, fast webkit browser with support for audio+video+playlists+youtube+pdf+download
Optional fullscreen kiosk mode and command interface for embedded applications
Includes omxplayerGUI, an X front end for omxplayer
