problems configuring WIFI AP

Fri Mar 21, 2014 7:21 am

Hello,

I recently bought the Pi Model B and use it as with RaspBMC. I setup everything with a cabled internet connection @ work.
@ home I only have wifi internet and I am having trouble to configure it. I entered the SSID of my AP and the password select the proper encryption. I dont know if the Pi can also handle AES/TKIP.

After pressing search network/scan network nothing happens.

I tried to install the network manager 0.1.4 instead to achieve my goal, but after installing the app does not appear under programs.

To be honest I am a bit helpless..
Has anyone a good hint for me?

Thanks
Bernhard

Hey,

Check out my guide on doing this through the terminal. Its much easier than you think. If you have any problems please comment on the guide.
