Wifi to Wifi Pi Router... Need help to config 2nd Wifi

Sun Feb 09, 2014 12:47 am

Im writing this thread to start communicating with those who can help
any configs requested will be provided.
i have some ok experience with linux

my ultimate end result is to have my pi pick up
wifi networks with wlan1 as wlan0 acts as
my personal wireless router to my devices

what is the correct config for
/etc/network/interfaces
to have eth0 or wlan1 (configed up) to send internet to
wlan0 that is set up as an access point for my devices

At present, I power Pi in and plug in Ethernet.
eth0 picks up ip from dhcp
i have the wireless adapter configured
as a router giving an ip to wireless clients

now i want to connect a second wireless usb adaptor
work similar to the lan. when in range it pics up
wifi networks that are already configured and
nat connects wifi to wifi as it does for lan to wifi

when i run lsusb the belkin wireless adaptor shows up in the list

i will post which ever logs or configs you like ...
thank you in advance for your help

Can u post "/etc/network/interfaces" ?

You will have to add a few lines in it to configure new device (in your case wlan1) to get it up.
