Possible to restore pi to original state?

Tue Dec 31, 2013 5:40 am

So I am getting a raspberry pi soon and it is coming with a SD card pre-imaged with noobs. Now lets say I do something stupid and screw up the software. Is there a way to restore the OS to the default noobs install? (This is quite possible as I'm a windows user with very little linux experience)

Thanks in advance.

Yes, quite possible.

If you want to start over at the beginning you can reimage the SD card using the download files and instructions on http://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads. Basically everything is on the SD card.

Or press the shift key at next boot and use NOOBS itself
to restore the OS.

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org
