Problems with ap-get update. Please Help

Tue Dec 10, 2013 11:09 am

Hi There, I appear to be experiencing issues with 'apt-get update' and I can't put my finger on why and need someone's help please?

My Pi appears to be working fine, I have plenty of space on my SD Card, and connectivity to the internet and local network is working.

Would anyone let me know how I fix this please? I have limited knowledge of Linux.

here is some information on my PI.

Hi All, I managed to find the answer myself, but wanted to post here just in case anyone else experiences this issues.

sudo apt-get install aptitude
sudo aptitude -o Acquire::http::No-Cache=True -o Acquire::BrokenProxy=true update
sudo apt-get clean
cd /var/lib/apt
sudo mv lists lists.old
sudo mkdir -p lists/partial
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
