Moved to Basic Setup and Usage
Hi Tipj98.
The Raspberry Pi normally doesn't come with peripherals. You'll receive a static wrapped board in a box with some instructions. So you'll need to look up buying a
compatible SD card and a
good regulated micro-usb power supply rated at least 5v 700mA. You'll also want to locate low-power peripherals such as a keyboard and mouse.
The keyboard I picked up recently for it draws just 20mA and is an A4Tech model KL-5 USB keyboard. Highly recommended
My understanding is that preloaded SD cards are not yet available, but will be when the official Raspberry Pi shop launches. We haven't got a date for that yet
Fortunately, writing an SD card is incredibly easy. Simply have a
read through this document at the wiki and you'll soon find the tools necessary for whatever operating system you currently have access to.
Hope this helps you.
