Can not type a # or an @ symbol

Tue Nov 26, 2013 10:18 pm

I just installed rasp-debian from noobs. I wanted to edit a file /etc/modprobe.d/raspi-blacklist.conf.

I found that my # comes out as a character that looks like an f or an L with a line through it. Also, my @ sign comes out as ".. Any idea how I can correct this. I tried another keyboard and get the same results.

raspi-config
Option4 Internationalisation
Set the keyboard to your country. The default is UK.
# is three keys to the right of L
@ is shifted two keys to the right of L

Here's my layout:

Thanks. I ran the raspi-config again and then changed the keyboard layout to US. That worked.
