ZyXEL NWD2105 and how to get drivers in general

Mon Oct 07, 2013 9:19 pm

I have a ZyXEL NWD2105 and want to get drivers and setup this WiFi dongle, this led to another question how do you know what to get when you need a driver? Let me rephrase that. I have another Pi with a different WiFi dongle, Reltek I think. Anyway I followed all the install directions carefully online to install it. They always start with something -get etc.
How do you know what to get for the device thing you have? Is there a list you can use or something.

Thanks,
Bob

Plug it in and on the Command Line type:

lsusb

press enter and hopefully it will give information regarding the WiFi Chipset, but according to the following link it is supported in Raspbian Wheezy, if it does have a Ralink RTxxxx

Searching is easy, most questions have been asked before !
