Cannot execute an executable on my File Share

Sun Oct 06, 2013 8:28 pm

Using samba I have my two network drives mounted and accessible from my Win7 box. However I cannot execute an executable on my network drive. The issue is the drive does not have x permissions. I have tried adding them using chmod +x -R but it did nothing which makes me think I need to mount the drive with exec permissions. I have no clue how to do that though. I could not find a mount syntax that worked for me..I know I need the remount flag in there but need help with the exact syntax. I have checked the permissions on the mounted drive and it only has rw so I know this is the issue. Of note: I can add/delete/rename etc on this share.

Thanks!

Attached view of fdisk...looks to me like NTFS which I believe is what I want. Also I do have ntfs-3g installed...!?
