Hi there,

Yesterday I received my rasperry, and tested it whit the debian flavor, connected via HDMI>DVI cable to my monitor, everything working fine. This morning, I tested the video port instead HDMI, creepy image quality but worked too. After that moment, i can't get the HDMI output working (i unplugged the video connector first, of course), the only i get in my monitor is "no signal". Looking for info about this issue, i found that the problem could be the file /boot/config.txt, but i have not such file, the /boot directory is empty. Finally, i loaded the distro newly in the SD, but HDMI remains not working.... can you please help me?

Thanks in advance.

PD. I apologize for my creepy english.

1) Are you absolutely sure the HDMI cable is secure at both ends? Wiggle it a little bit. If you can, try a different cable. Try the troubleshooting section below under "Interference visible on a HDMI or DVI monitor". Let us know how it goes!

ps. Actually your English is better than some native speakers.

Hi again,

Unfortunatelly, I´m afraid I found the root cause:

As you can see, one of the contact seems to be bent, and other one (just below) a bit broken . I don't know how could this happen, i tried to handle it carefully… do you think is possible to purchase a spare HDMI port and solder it to the board? I was planning to use it as media center, but, without the HDMI output… no way

Thanks again.

I read on here that all the boards are tested before dispatch. This includes inserting cables into all the various sockets so possibly they could have damaged at the testing stage.
