General Failure

Tue Jun 04, 2013 10:45 pm

So--
Once again, I have no idea what to do. The Pi Store is too big to fit on the screen, so I can hardly see it at all. Can't zoom out, either. Youtube won't play on any browser I use (something about Javascript and Adobe) and, in general, nothing is really working. Oh, and whenever I start Midori, it tells me the wastebasket can't be loaded. Do I need to get more memory or something? Is that even possible? And I tried various projects, but they never work. So yeah. It's been pretty frustrating.

Hi. In most web browsers if you hold down the Ctrl key & press minus everything gets smaller (Ctrl & plus makes things larger & Ctrl + the zero key resets).

I don't know what has happened to your midori. You could try deleting your /home/pi/.config/midori folder & starting with it again from scratch. You could also try netsurf or another browser. Flash does not currently work on the Pi. there are workarounds if you look around.

When asking for help it is usually a good idea to say which model Pi you have & what operating system you are running. I am afraid you cannot add any more memory, you can look at performance tweaks, that is part of the fun :)

Hi!

I'm sorry to hear that the Pi Store seems too big to fit on your screen. Could I ask if you're using the analogue video output (as opposed to the HDMI)? The UI can be a bit tricky to use at the resolutions offered by that connection, but if you right-click Pi Store on the task bar and select 'Maximise, you may be able to make it fit.

Hope that helps,

Thanks, guys! Yeah, I tried the ctrl+ and ctrl- thing, but, y'know. :/
Thanks for the tips! I'll give them a shot.
