I am a raspberry pi newbie. My question is which USB hub should I buy? I would like to connect the keyboard, mouse and a wifi dongle to the Pi.
Thanks

It's a good idea to check the verified peripherals list on the wiki: http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripheralssmithnb42 wrote:I am a raspberry pi newbie. My question is which USB hub should I buy? I would like to connect the keyboard, mouse and a wifi dongle to the Pi.
Probably better to buy one that can be powered, without a supply, and buy a second "Pi charger" - some PSU's supplied with hubs are of poor quality and may "just about" supply 500mA (instead of up to 500mA per port). It's also possible to use a wired keyboard and wired mouse via an unpowered hub, with the WiFi dongle plugged in to the other USB port of a (model B2) Pi. FWIW I've tried out a number of "low-cost" hubs and there are notes etc. about them (and PSU's) within my webpages (see link on the right).chris57100 wrote:You have to buy one with external power supply.
