Screen?

Sun Feb 17, 2013 3:34 am

Hi Forum,
I am new to the Pi world and, therefore, know close to nothing about how to work it. However, before starting to fiddle around with it I have to buy a new screen since my old one does not support HDMI. Is there anything in specific I should keep in mind before buying a new screen?
Thank you very much in advance and all the best,
SBHellmann

Or DVI-D (not DVI-A).
You'll get the best audio if you get a screen with HDMI and speakers. DVI doesn't handle audio so you'd have to use the 3.5mm jack, and the audio quality is low. Otherwise DVI works fine. On the other hand, maybe TVs (generally HDMI) are not as good as monitors (generally DVI) for visual clarity.
