Just got my Pi for Xmas set up the desktop, and the TV stopped working!
Make sure you have SSH and/or remote desktop setup ASAP in case you are forced to go headless.
Now I have to save for a TV as none of my monitors have DVI (THOSE adapters are cheaper than TV)

Have you gotten yourself running headless?

Why won't the coax video work at least temporarily?

Never tried co-ax so cannot make a useful comment, but I got a DVI monitor from Cash Converters for £12 - perfect working order - sorry if I sound smug, but its cheaper than an HDMI TV!

Yeah, I use an inexpensive HDMI to VGA converter for my Pi that I got off of eBay (Amazon has them as well). Think I paid about $12 US.

But with those you risk blowing up your PI (blowing up D1, or the polyfuse).
Not enough people realize that DVI-D is -the- cheap way to get an excellent display for your PI.

What about consoling into the Pi I haven't played with it much but isn't it enabled by default.

The USB cables are cheaper than any monitor out there.

Don't have ssh running or RDP.
I basically took a break after verifying it ran, and went to bed. When I woke up, the TV was dead, but a quick scan refresh of my network show the Pi wasn't dead.
It's okay, looks like it may just be a fuse issue inside the TV (caps aren't swollen). Replacing it today and hopefully I'll be back up tonight.
At which point I will have both ssh AND rdp installe and configured.
To the person that asked about console: it's been too long since I set up a serial console, so that's not an option, but thanks for reminding me. I'll set that up too when I get the tv to work.

So it turns out Vizios are infamous for power supply problems. I did manage to see some scorching around resistors as I was putting in a new fuse. "replaceable", but I think it would wind up being like an old car. Repairs are worth more than its value.
In case you're interested, here's the topside of the pcb and then the bottom:

See that pair of unsoldered pins? I wonder if the chip blew?
