ok feel like give up

hi folks just feel like giving up been three days now trying to sort things out just seem to be going round in circles, got internet also go pi store just do not know what to do now been over thirty years since using my old specy to inputting programmes from specy mags, yes I have got lazy with windows etc and have forgotten a lot of stuff realy need help to get me started any help please.

I presume you have install of Raspbian (Debian Wheezy 7) Distro dated 16/12/2012 ?

Please don't give up, there is so much stimulation and amusement to be had from playing with your raspberry pi if you persevere a bit.

Try different distros; RiscOS might be fun for you if you have happy memories of speccy era computers; XBMC is available on top of at least three different distros - try them all; learn basic linux commands so you don't need to launch X on the pi; etc, etc, etc
