I’m a total noob. Literally my pi just came yesterday. My intention for it is to move my PLEX media server next to my router to solve a double NAT issue I’ve had since creating a Google wifi mesh network.
With doing that, the perk I was hoping for was to also use the pi as a computer plugged into my tv whenever I needed/wanted direct browser access.
The issue I’m having is switching back and forth HDMI inputs to the tv. The pi seems to override anything else I have plugged in. If I want to switch to my AppleTV, it automatically switches back to the HDMI input my Pi is on. It seems the only way I can switch to my AppleTV or PS3 is to shutdown the pi or unplug the hdmi to the tv. Is there a way to fix this? This has definitely never been an issue I’ve experienced with other devices (PC or MacBook)
This is a Canakit Rpi 4 Mode B 8GB connected to Ethernet with Debian via the NOOBS SD Card Canakit sent. Not sure if any of that matters just wanted it out there.
