KPhotoAlbum

Mon Apr 20, 2020 3:23 pm

Hello there, I am new here and have the following question:
On a Raspberry Pi I want to install the KDE based Linux program called KPhotoAlbum to be able to handle my photo collection on our home television set.
To realise this project I plan to purchase:
> Raspberry Pi 4 model B 4 GB incl original power supply, incl case etc
> Samsung portable SSD 500 GB

already in my possession are:
> smart TV Sony Bravia KD-55X8505B
> for the pre installation desktop PC with Mint 19.3 Tricia Cinnamon
> of course keyboard and mouse

my plans and wishes are:
> to install KPhotoAlbum version 5.3 (KDE based)
> to transfer my photo collection (108 GB with 40.000 images) which I have actually on a internal WD HD to the Samsung SSD
> furthermore I suppose that it will be possible to control and operate the program by a wireless mouse

Can you please tell me if this will work properly and quite fast so I can view my photo collection on the smart TV?
The aforementioned photo collection actually is divided in almost 50 countries with more then 800 places with 40.000 pictures.

Every kind of help will be appreciated and I thank everybody beforehand to help and assist me with this project.
Stay healthy in these crazy times

Rolf
