Dell C3130cn Supported by CUPS?

Mon Apr 13, 2020 12:33 pm

Hello, i'm looking at purchasing a raspberry pi 4 to setup wireless printing on my Dell C3130cn Colour laser printer and cannot find any information on whether the printer is supported. Has anybody got any experience on whether this solution would work or not?

Probably, but it's not IPP so the easy way won't work.

Openprinting says you have a couple of options for the (I hope) similar Dell 3100cn. It seems to support PCl and PostScript, so plug it in via USB and see what happens in the Printing preferences window when you add a new printer

Yes on further search it may need the foomatic-db-engine package installed, if CUPS does not recognize ??????
