No-one is going to be able to help trouble shoot without more information.

I used this guide "
https://circuitdigest.com/microcontroll ... sing-samba" to build a Pi4 Raspbian Buster NAS. My Ubuntu 19 machine sees the NAS and I can transfer files back & forth using the file manager GUI. All good.
However, my windows 10 machine will not find the NAS, even though I can ping it from a command window. I get an error message "....maybe media is misspelled." (!)
Out of the box windows 10 no longer supports browsing for network shares but as you've not said what you're doing to get that error mesage that may not be the problem. If it is I doubt enabling WINS support will help as you need to enable smb v1 on windows to get browsing working (search the forum, it's come up many times).
Also, my Pi4 media server in the living room does not show the NAS either. How do I get another Pi to recognize the NAS?
Again not enough info.
Please provide the following:
- The contents of your smb.conf. Wrap it in code tags, do not post a screenshot.
- Exactly what you're trying on your windows box to get that error.
- What OS you're running on your "Pi4 media server in the living room"
- What you mean by "my Pi4 media server in the living room does not show the NAS"?
Does it show the NAS but not the share(s)?
Does it not show the NAS at all?
Can you ping the NAS from the media centre? (You may have to enabled ssh and login to the media centre remotely to test this)
I'm going to assume that your mount options, permissions, and smbusers are correct as you can connect from your Ubuntu box.
Given that your Ubuntu box is working, the problem is more likely to be with what you're doing on the windows box and "media server" (do you mean media player?) than on the Pi running the NAS.
