Looking for help, omxplayer

Fri Dec 21, 2012 1:52 am

I am a new rPi user. I have one other computer that uses Ubuntu I use it only with the wysiwyg shell.
I know the rPi uses a simplfied version of Linux.

I have opened MPG 4 files. Just did a search. May have found a solution here.

It is not a simplified version of "Linux". Linux is the incredibly powerful core of the operating system and the Pi uses a full version. The difference between your Ubuntu Install and a Raspbian, Arch, Gentoo, or PiBang release is the choice of window manager and default programs.

While it is only a semantic argument, it is important to realize that it is not a "simplified Linux" but rather a full fledged Linux with a simplified window manager.
echo "Something Useful" > /dev/null
