Where is my USB drive?

Fri Dec 20, 2019 11:18 pm

PI4, 4Gb, Buster:
When I plug in a USB drive, i can see it on the desktop, so I know it is mounted, right? But when I try to find it in a terminal window, I can't locate it. Thought it would be under /media/ but I don't see it. Can someone give me the path, please?

With "Desktop" versions of Raspbian, the file manager auto-mounts USB drives to /media/username/drivename.

So, assuming the default "pi" user, look in /media/pi/ for your mounted drive.

Raspbian Lite doesn't auto-mount USB drives (you have to do that manually).

FYI:
If you open it from the icon on the desktop the path will be in the file manager.
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren't responding,
lots of pop-ups...and where is that annoying music coming from?
