OK, confession time, I’m a nooby and I’ve messed up.
I have created a python script for flashing some lights which I wanted to start on boot up, so I followed the instructions here:
https://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/2015/ ... y-pi-boot/
I entered “sudo nano /etc/profile”, put my script at the end (“sudo python /home/pi/saucer.py”), saved, rebooted - and the Pi booted up, the script worked just fine but left me looking at a blank screen.
I think I should have added & at the end of my addition to allow my script to work in the background. For now, nothing I can think of will stop the script and allow me to get back to the raspbian GUI screen.
