Pi Newbie. Some questions - networking

got the same problem

trying to ssh (xxx.xxx.x.69) via putty
time-out error on a PC win 7

then connect via Putty to another raspi: 44
from 44 ssh to raspi server 69
no problemo!

so raspi 69 listens to ssh. PC and RP are in the same network and netgroup

Rather than jumping on the OPs post - I’ll ask the mods to split this off as the fix could be totally different for you...

How do you know you have the correct IP for your pi ?

Why don't you post the IP of both your pi and your pc, as they are both local network IP address they will be the same as anyone else using the same address range on what ever router they may be running.
