XF86calculator

Sat Aug 24, 2019 4:48 pm

I'm using a Logitech K270 wireless keyboard with a M185 mouse.
The keyboard has some hotkeys, some of which work e.g. Volume up, volume down, mute and some which don't work e.g. calculator.
When I use xev I can see that the relevant key is outputting XF86calculator.
Trouble is I haven't been able to trace how to configure Raspbian to open galculator.
Can anyone point me to a resource whcih explains how these keymappings work?
Did I mention that I love my Raspberry Pi(s) :D. Amazing power from a tiny device.

Here's a recent article on setting up custom keyboard actions: https://www.tomshardware.com/news/raspb ... 40215.html

See also the generic Openbox documentation: http://openbox.org/wiki/Help:Bindings

markuk,

Thanks for the link -the Tomshardware article was an excellent tutorial and I've got it set up as I wanted.

It very satisfying to know how to do that!
