970pro not working on RPi4

I'm trying to get my Samsung 970PRO working with a RPi4. Although the Pi says it recognises the ssd, it does not like it and sends out error messages. I think I read that my caddy/interface uses a JMicron chip set, but people say it doesn't work, and recommend an ASMedia based one. I need one with a NVMe to USB3 adapter, not sata.

It works with my ubuntu based computer (not a RPi)

Does anyone use a 970PRO (1T) into a RPi4? and what can they recommend, that worked for them.

Please don't recommend Amazon, as they got me into this mess in the first place ******** (expletive deleted).

thanks, but didn't do anything when I followed the instructions. Really finding all this a drag, RP4 was fine to start and download OS. from then on, nothing but problems. This is the 21st century, guys, it just gets harder to do things, whereas it should get easier.

Anyone got a 970PRO to work on a RPi4?

All I get on 'devices' is:

The specified directory 'computer:///JMicron%20Tech.drive' is not valid
