Pi3B temperature between 70-75 ° C

Fri Jun 14, 2019 6:49 pm

If the Pi3B develops a temperature of 70 - 75 ° C, and works for hours under these conditions, Can it cause damage to hardware?

Thanks.

CPU temp or temp in the case?
CPU temp => no problem
Ambient temp => could cause problems w/ accessory cables, eg ethernet, USB.

It is pretty close to the recommended limit though. You might want to look into cooling it with a heatsink or similar, just so it doesn't throttle unexpectedly (to protect itself) and slow the system to a crawl.
