raspberry pi3 com port (help)

Fri May 17, 2019 6:50 am

Hi guys,

I installed the Raspberry pi3 device on my windows 10 arm64. I want to open a com port connection in Raspberry pi3 w10. For this I connect the USB, but does not see the COM port connection. I'm guessing he's giving a mistake because of a lack of drivers. The screen shot of the error is shown below. I don't have a lot of time left because of my graduation assignment, please help me.

I installed the Raspberry pi3 device on my windows 10 arm64. I want to open a com port connection in Raspberry pi3 w10.

Perhaps this means you want to make a serial connection from your RPi to a 'normal' PC that runs Windows 10?

What Operating System have you installed on your RPi 3?

With the usb serial adapter plugged into your RPi, what is the output from this command:

Code: Select all

lsusb

Is there another language forum that would let you explain your situation more clearly? https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=90 Türkçe?

I did not understand how to view the image you posted.

No, I'm not trying to connect to a normal computer.

Rpi installed windows 10 arm64 operating system.

I cannot run this command because it is windows 10.

In the section marked in the photo (Other devices) says the driver is not installed.

If there's anything you can do, please help. At the same time I will open the topic in the Turkish forum.

Rpi installed windows 10 arm64 operating system.
I am unable to help any further.

I have no experience with running a Microsoft Windows Operating System on Raspberry Pi hardware.

But at least this has clarified your area of difficulty do that others may understand your problem.

There is no "official" Windows 10 ARM64 Operating System.

The Raspberry Pi is primarily a Linux computer, and the only version of Windows licensed to run on a Pi is the IOT version.

What you installed is a hack, and the legality of doing that is questionable. You won't find much support for running a hacked version of Windows on a Pi computer here. If you wanted to run Windows 10, you bought the wrong computer.

Actually you can run Windows 10 on the Pi if you are a member of the Windows Insider program but there are restrictions on release and version https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... 7#p1431003

As I understand it, the software has to be modified to run on a Pi, and I'm pretty sure that's not legal. Or perhaps "legal" is not the correct word. It's almost certainly a violation of Microsoft's terms of service or user agreement.
