Status LED's

Sun Nov 25, 2012 12:23 pm

Is there any information on the exact meaning of the status LED's?
The one that interests me most is the green OK, mine flickers occasionally but is mostly off.

Thanks
Mick

OK = SD card access indicator - Only blinks when read or write to SDCard
PWR = 5V input power present - Always on when there is power

FDX = Ethernet Full Duplex connection
LNK = Ethernet connection present
10M = 100 Mbps Ethernet connection

Thanks for the reply.

I would have expected a green OK indicator to be on unless something was wrong, but now that I know I can live with that.

Cheers
Mick

The rev 2 RasPi PC board fixes the LED names, without changing behaviour:

ACT = SD card activity indicator
PWR = 5V input power present
FDX = Ethernet Full Duplex connection
LNK = Ethernet connection present
100 = 100 Mbps Ethernet connection

I thought the pwr led was on the 3.3V line, not on the 5V.

The PWR blinking means the 5V power supply is dropping out. Makes sense in that the input voltage from the PSU is 5v not 3.3v. In any case, it means there is power to the unit.
