Connecting bluetooth speaker/mic (BT headset)

Sat Feb 02, 2019 12:46 am

Hello all,
I have a very interesting project I want to get into, I will try to explain the best way I can. I want to connect a BT headset (speaker/mic)(cell phone style) to a Raspberry Pi3 and have the BT mic input of the headset come out a USB sound card. Now I know there a lot of very smart People in this group, but now comes the twist (I think), I would like the USB sound card audio input to be transmitted back to the BT headset via BT from the Raspberry Pi3. I am a Ham Radio (Amateur Radio) Operator and I would like to be able to send and receive audio with a RPi3 via BT to a cell phone style headset so I can be wireless. I will be using VOX (Voice Operated Transmit), this is why I would like to have the audio flow in both directions at the same time (just like a cell phone) so when I speak the transmitter will transmit and my voice will also go out over the transmitted radio

I hope i was able to explain it well enough, feel free to ask questions.
Thank you all for any and all help.

I have been following this forum for awhile now, and have never seen success with the Raspberry Pi and HSP/HFP. Pity, really. Haven't had the chance to try it myself.
