Space problem trying to install with apt-get

Mon Oct 15, 2018 9:16 pm

Hi, I just tried to install gdisk with apt-get and appeared a error message about the need of free space in /var/cache/apt/archives/. I run a ls on that folder and is full of .deb, and I assume that are the binaries to install all that programs and I need them anymore but... I have to be sure about that before deleting anything jajaja

Can I erase everything from there?

Thanks

You can safely clear out the old files from that area with the following command

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get clean

Return to “Beginners”
