Amazon Kinesis Video stream

Sun Oct 14, 2018 6:21 pm

Hello,

I was trying to follow the step in the tutorial below :

https://docs.aws.amazon.com/kinesisvide ... p-rpi.html

I am stuck at step 5 of "Install Software Prerequisites":

Basically, I am supposed to copy a certain file to "/etc/ssl/cert.pem: "

That directory doesn't even exist. I don't get it. As anyone tried this tutorial before? Are we suppose to create a new directory?

Can someone please elaborate for me?

Just create "/etc/ssl" its where you install server certificates etc.
You might do an "sudo apt install ca-certificates" to see if that creates the directory, but probably not required.

What I did I went into /etc/ssl/ by doing
< $ cd /etc/ssl>
then I did
<$ nano cert.pem>.
Then I pasted the content of the file provided in the link. When I try to save I have the error message
[Error writing cert.pem: Permission denied].
Please help

Thanks a lot. I tried that and it worked. Is it a good practice to create pem file using nano?

Doesnt really matter how you create it.. best (easiest) way is to just copy the file from somewhere.
