How do you pronounce Linux?

Is the 'i' pronounced as it is in 'limit' or 'lime'?

You say toe may toe. I say toe mah toe...

According to Linus (in the clip I'm familiar with), it is pronounced Lee-Noosh.

It's pronounced LIN'UX not LINE'UX there is no LINE in LINUX.

Do not pronounce it like a a recruitment agency (LINE UX).

Eben and I both pronounce it like "limit". This is almost certainly *wrong*, and if we were to meet Linus we would be sure to pronounce his name correctly.

I'm going to call it 'Lee-Noosh' from now on.

You can say it however you want-- one of the beauties of Linux.

I'm American so no matter how I pronounce it I am probably wrong , but not to fear, none of the people I work with even remotely understands computer So I am safe.
I do pronounce like limit not lime.(or maybe that should be lemon not lime LOL)

Spell phonetically please.

I put the eggplant in the aluminum container.

I'm from Texas so egg is pronounced with a long a sound at the beginning. You still keep the e sound too....yeah we don't talk correct at all.
