Having great fun but making errors... grrr...

So, I am on a roll with getting all things Pi sorted today, but I have made some changes to the theme of the Pi3B+ that I now don't really like and I would very much like to revert to the default theme.

For example - the WiFi indicator is now an icon of two PC's but the original was a graph horizontal bar of signal strength. Also, the Application launch drop down has turned into a very thin bit of nothing !!!

Can anyone help rescue this noooooooob pls

You can always re-flash your SD card back to the downloaded image.

And there are a couple of Learning Experiences here... The first is, take a backup before doing anything you might want to undo. The second is, take notes when you do pretty much anything in case you want to do it again (or undo it if restoring a backup is either impossible more more work than is needed).

Pis are nothing, if not educational....

Yep, you are absolutely right.

I have managed with some research of the forum posts on here, to fix the theme, thankfully. Even managed to get a few more useful widgets installed. One of which is the weather widget, which is now showing me the weather in Zakynthos, Greece - where I will be heading on my free holiday in 12 weeks time. Wohooooo :D

This really is a superb learning experience though, I must say.

I'm delighted that you have accepted the comments in the way they were meant. Part of the problem with learning is that it is sometimes painful. Fortunately, with a Pi, it's *cheap* painful, rather than expensive painful...and that is part of the whole philosophy behind why there even is a Pi.

Absolutely... couldn't agree with you more.

What I refuse to accept though, is that you live in a part of the world that gets sunshine and warmth at this time of the year, whilst us here in South Wales have to put up with the changeable weather conditions. 25 deg C last week and gorgeous... 8 deg C today and cold!!!

It's not fair I say, just not fair, and I won't stand for it.

*embarks on experimental Raspberry Pi project to secretly move the weather from CA to Wales without telling anyone...

The pleasure is in sorting them out There is no man on this forum who can say he

Please don't dump Welsh weather on Birmingham. Send it to London ;)
