Raspberry Pi Forums

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me out. Seems a simple thing to do but I am lost. I bought a Pi 3 because I wanted to do retro gaming. I can't seem to get it going. Anything I download I am unable to open or run it. I just get a pop-up asking me to Choose and Application to open an 'unknown' file. Don't know what to do and very frustrating!

We'll need to know specifically what you are trying to do.

I assume that you have installed the OS correctly and you get to a Raspbian desktop? Or have you installed something like RetroPi?
