Hi All,

If its a fake or damaged card then why is it proper;y working on ubuntu laptop and able to partition/read/write files etc ?? I feel in the beckground some matching code or something is lying due to which its only not able to boot..what u say ?? Without testing something reaching a conclusion could be correct but its not with full base...to prove the same we need to test this card ?

Is anyone can let me know some card testing software or techniques ??

Regards.

I am completely baffled, having used in the past W32DiskImager and DD and now Etcher, it just works.

Though have had a few used SD Cards which had to format in a Digital Camera to make them usable.

H2testw can test for fake SD Card...

Putting one or a few small files on a card does not test it sufficiently.

You said you are running Ubuntu. That is why I gave you links to testing a card with a Linux computer. If you have, or have access to, a Windows computer then use H2testw.

Putting one or a few small files on a card does not test it sufficiently. The partition table and those few files will be placed at the beginning of the card. That leaves a lot of the card untested.

Hi All,

Thanks for all support of all learned members. I have checked card via H2testw. In writing and verification one error shown with one raspbian formatted card.

After which to check complete card, I reformat as second partition was in ext filesystem which is not readable in windows, in fat32 and then verification process doesn't produce any error .

Finally i am able conclude card is fine. Using same hardware like reader and card.

Now what further diagnosis can be done to rectify the issue.

I don't think for this task such big discussion are required. Some very fundamental error is happening , unfortunately we are not able to catch .

Can someone suggest what best remedy can be applied in this situation as I am also feeling exhausted now.

Regards .
