Ahh - OK. You having two threads doesn't help.

Raspbian lite is fine where you're comfortable with a command line interface and don't need a desktop GUI interface.

It sounds like you need to download and install "Raspbian Stretch with desktop" from https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/

Yes, no problem.

Use the same process to write to the card as you did the first time. You don't need to wipe the card first.

On your PC download Radpbian stretch with Desktop .zip

https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian/

On your PC download Etcher

https://etcher.io/

Etcher will both unzip and create a bootable SD Card, no requirement for formatting, Etcher will undertake this as well. A very good all in one software.
