Hi, I'm trying to get my Pi zero to run off batteries I've followed the guidance on this link using a 5V USB booster module:

And I've tried two different portable mobile phone chargers.

I can get them to work! When everything is connected the screen goes onto a cycle of "familiar looking start up text" and raspberry pi logo and the "rainbow square" time and time again. The Pi Zero works fine when connected to the mains.

Please help!

A PiZero on its own will work with ANY working 5V usb mobile phone charger so something is going very wrong for you unless you've some power hungry peripherals attached

What have you got plugged into it?

Nothing plugged in apart from the monitor. I'm running an upgrade to see if that has any effect.

My personal belief system it that gremlins DO inhabit electronic devices and that you can sometimes divert them away by doing something completely unconnected to the trouble they are causing you

This is my conclusion after 40 years of working with them
