System freezes while playing you tube video

Hi, I’am new to the forum world please forgive me if have not posted correctly ( I am willing to correct myself )
I have purchased raspberry Pi 3 Model B a day ago and I have installed the raspbian OS in it, when i play a you tube videos it plays for a while and freezes.

I experienced the same problem. Everytime a youtube video starts the system freezes and I must hard reboot it.
Can anyone help please?

can you run htop and monitor the RAM space. also when the Pi hangs press Alt + PrntScr + b to reboot it. it is called the magic key

possibly you need to increase swap size. sudo nano /etc/dphys-swapfile, the default CONF_SWAPSIZE=100 increase it to 512 or more depends on your SD card size, the more the merrier.

I think your SD is very slow

You can try my optimized image
(zram/zswap + tmpfs for caches/temp folders)

PS image is Russian, but you can change local with raspi-config or configuration
