Video streaming in python code

Sun Sep 03, 2017 11:33 pm

Hey peeps,

I made a rover with a raspberry pi cam and I'd like to see the camera feed on my computer. The rover is controlled via a gamepad (using a Python script) and i'd like to trigger video streaming with a button.

For this, I've been looking for a way to do in Python code, but could not find any. All tutorials show how do it via terminal commands. I tried UV4L and VLC but couldn't be successful.

Here is code from the person who wrote picamera python library. I tried this code and it works OK but does not have login security or an elegant web interface, it also needs to run under python3. You can add your own enhancements if you have some python coding and web experience.
