Raspbian 2017-03-02 Causes Blank Screen

Tue Mar 14, 2017 2:30 am

Hello, All:

My Raspberry Pi 3, Model B is connected to my Dell 2007FP (1600x1200 @ 60 Hz) with an HDMI-DVI adapter. When I was using NOOBS, video was working using these settings (in /boot/config.txt):

hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=51
hdmi_drive=1

Now that I've switched to Rasbian, Version 2017-03-02, video has stopped working entirely.

What happened?

I reverted to NOOBS, Version 2017-03-02; rebooted twice; used NOOBS to install Raspbian Jessie; manually edited /boot/config.txt [to restore the values that had worked for me previously] and the R-Pi is able to use the Dell 2007FP again at 1600x1200 resolution [with the HDMI cable and HDMI-DVI adapter] but the image is blurry. :shock:

The modifications that I've made to /boot/config.txt:

framebuffer_width=1600
framebuffer_height=1200
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=51
hdmi_drive=1

(These are the settings that worked previously.)

What's causing this? What can I do to make the image clear?
